i was looking for you after the show but dianna told me you split fast. I'm down to go tonight. What time does it start? do you just want to meet down there or somewhere else?
let me converse with my better half about what is going on tomorrow. If i didn't make plans that i forgot about then i'll go. I should know by the show today.
i don't want you to take a hurtin' on the ticket though. $40 & $50 is too rich for my blood but if you are just looking to get rid of it then i'll totally go for $25.
yeah i guess i'm almost opposite. my surgeon was phenomenal, but i just wanna get on my way to getting strength back as soon as possible so i can get back to work. i'm going to novacare, they seem decent so far except i have a student.
also, i may have to wait a little longer because i didn't know getting disability was going to be such a hassle. i'm gonna have to save up so i can pay my bills. it's been over a month and i still haven't seen a check. i officially hate new jersey.
ouch. i actually got reconstructive surgery on my foot and ankle. i have to get my right foot worked on in 6 months after my left completely heals. it sucks not being able to walk. i didn't realize how weak my foot and leg would get in a month. i could barely do the simple stretches today.
i fought way out of my weight class against a 205lb Russian in a Muay Thai fight and he TKO'd me in the 1st round. I think i psyched myself out. Apparently i was winning the round but i was seeing two of him by the end of it...me and my corner called it after the first. First time i've ever been put away...i'm trying not to talk about it too much.
weight classes are up to 160, 161-180, 181-200, 200-220, 220+
there is a pro-tournament.
and there is a Takedown 101 tournament which is quick modified rules that you basically score points on takedowns or if you pull guard you have to sweep in 10 seconds or something...those rules are still being ironed out...but basically the $40 gets you into your division, the takedowns tournament, and the absolute tournament.
i never get completely out powered in the 160-170 division...i have slight trouble with the 170-180 division...Brad (my instructor) says i'll be a beast at the 150-160 division. He wants me down to 160 soon too so that i can fight MMA at the 153 and 155 lbs divisions (some promotions go by kickboxing weight classes)
i stepped on the scale the other day and almost had a heart attack. i was figuring i was going to weigh around 170. nope 185...the combination of the holidays and doing a ton of strength training when at bally's fucked me up...however in the span of 2 days i'm down to 180...i'm planning on getting back down to 170 by saturday incase brad makes the divisions smaller. I say by late march i'm down to 160...which will rule because i'll be huge for that division.
im skipping it because of money. im fighting in an MMA fight on the 12th though so im not bummed out. After my muay thai competition team training saturday i might go down to watch/coach some of the guys.
yeah...i want to get my walking weight down to like 161-163 area and i'll just cut weight for tournaments...im at 170 now...but i notice when i drop weight i put it back on fast so i want to be at the low 160's for a couple of weeks before naga.
most likely...i was planning on not competing til naga in august to get my natural walking weight down but my instructor is really pushing for a good team turnout at Grappler's Quest...i have an in-house tournament for my school and affiliate schools in 3 weeks...that will be my tuneup for GC.
