Although I'm pretty sure a "holy fuck, this is sick" would cover this well enough for anyone interested to check it out, because I really enjoy this band and have had a while to listen to this, I'll give it a few more lines than that.

Teens In Heat is definitely everything you'd expect based on the demo. It's blisteringly fast in parts, it's angry as hell, and it's everything that's good about midwest hardcore. The sludgy or "damaged hardcore" parts are perfect, and surprisingly don't sound ripped directly from a Sex/Vid song. I like that. Please, please do not let the fact that Youth Attack is releasing their LP sway you from listening to this.

What I like most about this release is the few obvious departures from the demo - some solos, rock and roll parts, and most notably, the last track is a bit more upbeat than anything previous. You know, it keeps things interesting and whatnot.

In case you haven't heard them, here's the link to the demo. I'll post a link to this EP once it sells out, and considering they sold 130 in a night, the other 170 should go pretty quickly. Buy it here - click here for link

And because I'm a nerdy fangirl:

(record release version, totally gone already.)

(non-record release version.)

Definitely good dudes. I was bummed that almost everyone dropped off their record release show Saturday (and that Duress stole the show by being drama queens). I can't really guess at whether or not you would like it, but check out the demo.

Yeah, I stayed in Logan Square this weekend, and was just expecting it to be like a 10 minute drive. When I pulled up directions, it was pretty disappointing to see it was a half hour away, considering I had just been in a car for 12 hours, hahah.

I'm told this is now sold out! In case you haven't grabbed it off Fashionable Activism yet - click here for link

Also, lol@hardcore kids - click here for link I paid $4 for the more rare one, and despite loving this band, would never think of paying more than that. What fucking nerds.
