It's a lot closer to me than any of the others fests/shows posted on here haha. It's within road trip distance.

And I love Dangers and Graf Orlock, and like Killing The Dream, Ceremony, and Sabertooth Zombie a lot.

The third announcement is going to be the big one if all goes accordingly, but if you're not at all interested in any of those bands, not in just a "oh, I don't want to go to the west coast for these bands" way, then what is it that you listen to? The bands announced cover pretty much every aspect of hardcore.

To be honest, if I didn't know I was going to see some of my best friends here, I probably wouldn't fly out to WA for this, so I can see why there aren't a lot of east coasters super excited. But if this show was going on out here, you still wouldn't be interested?

it is mostly a "wouldnt go to the west coast" thing....but i actually only own music from 6 of those bands....and WIC is the only one i am crazy about....i am just finding myself being more picky about shows lately

like for example on Saturday there was that show at 10 Car show.....now i like The Carrier, Blind The Thief, Unrestrained and Plaugeland and had intented on going but actually only watching Plaugeland then heading to Sidebar for Stout......even though i have saw them time and time again i would still prefer to see them over the others.....but then when Stout cancelled we all just decided on McRad at the Ottobar.....another band i have saw more than a handful of times

i love checking out new bands and getting into more shit.....but i would 9 times out of 10 go see something i know i am going to love rather then check out a bunch of bands that might just be something i like

this is my usual winter routine....when summer comes around i am sure i will be all over every show again though

Yeah, I totally understand. Going to shows in winter just isn't the same. I mean, it's fun, and I go regularly, but there's just something about a good (or even just decent) show at the end of a hot day that does it. I'm more willing to watch bands less familiar to me in the summer than I am when it's cold, haha.

i cant tell if you are being sarcastic or not.....but i am dead serious...strange i know....but serious

Haha, no, totally serious. Sorry, I know I say a lot of sarcastic shit, but there is definitely a seasonal change in my show-going habits. I have a feeling it's because it's annoying as shit to leave a warm house to go to a cold venue. Plus, the getting dark early thing, oof.

Winter is dumb.

i guess im going up to this. sound and fury repeat. which means i wont remember half of it.

3 bands i'm into on the whole lineup so far. I probably wouldn't go to this if it was down the street from me. And most of those bands roll through the tristate area frequently enough that flying completely across the country would be a waste of money. Unless the headliner is Pantera this fest should be considered useless for anyone around here.

yes, i know. I'm a Negative Nancy.

Rain Fest seems decent but it's in no way in my mind worth going to the other side of the country to see. They're a lot of those bands who have came through this area before or will be coming through within the next couple of months. The only bands on this that I wouldn't mind seeing is Rotting Out, Final Fight, Lewd Acts, Crucified, Pressure Point, and a few others. But if you're going out there for more reasons then seeing a show then it's definitely worth it, unlike a lot of us on here we don't know many people on the other side of the country. I never lived there or anything.

Eh.

A lot of those bands play here quite often as it is. Not worth the travel money.
