Can you personally tell the difference between 128 and 192 bitrates?

I have run out of room on my 40gb iriver and am thinking about converting the albums to 128 as opposed to 192, cause it will free up nearly 10 gigs.

Is there a big difference in quality?

I'd do it, I'm no fanatic of techincally perfect audio, but I could careless.

not really. i dont think it really matters, 10 gigs is alot and you have to remember it dosent need to be perfect, it fits in your hand.

it really doesn't make a difference, especially through headphones. if it's something acoustic that you're playing loudly in your living room, it would a bit more, but in your situation I highly doubt it would matter.

it depends on the person, some people can tell, some can't. personally i can tell depending on what i'm listening to the music on, if its my earbud headphones, i can't really tell, my car i can't tell (i have shit ass speakers and use one of those cassette deals) but on my computer with good speakers or my nice headphones i can tell the difference and i tend to stick to 192. i have a 40gb mp3 player and have way more music than that, i just am selective about what goes on it.
