Over the past two years, there has been only one band that has wowed crowds at Bonnaroo, Coachella and Warped Tour. Add to that a three month tour this past summer with Deftones, festivals around the world, and even sharing the stage with Nine Inch Nails...and you have THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN.
Now, one of the most appreciated (or sometimes under-appreciated) bands in rock will be finishing off 2011 with Mastodon and Red Fang.
The Dillinger Escape Plan also recently launched their new website at http://www.dillingerescapeplan.org. The site is the new dashboard for all current and upcoming activity and shows, collecting media shared on social platforms (flickr, youtube, vimeo), media feeds, as well as by blog and media entries from the band itself. They made the launch even more special with the free download of an unreleased remix of "Black Bubblegum" by Sergio Vega (Deftones).
Guitarist Ben Weinman just added a new blog talking everything from the Puciato/Cavalera project, to his own musical adventure with Brent Hines (Mastodon) and Eric Avery (Jane's Addiction). Lastly, the band will be putting up their newest in a line of limited-edition shirts on Monday, Sept 19th at Noon EST. The shirt will only available on the site for 24 hours and is sure to sell out quickly.
All of this action has been in support of their 2010 release, Option Paralysis (Season Of Mist/Party Smasher Inc). The album showcases their signature organized chaos in tracks like "Farewell, Mona Lisa". Their rock sensibilities in "Gold Teeth On A Bum", and their melodic tendencies in "Parasitic Twins". Stay tuned for more news on the band including tours, recordings and more.
