Someone please stop this terrible band from making any more music. I felt the veins behind my eyes bulge as the tracks played, making it feel as if my brain was going to explode and shoot noodles all over my basement. I really don't know what sound they're they're going for, but the sound they found is "brain tumor", as in thats what I ended up with after listening to this.

To all of you that think that fans of the chariot have no idea what the hell is going on and that they should give up on music are mistaken. I am fans of many different bands and I can appreciate all types of music. The chariot is only one out of tons of different bands I like. I like everything from classic rock like pink floyd, led zeppelin, and jimi hendrix, to stuff like at the drive-in, thursday, the mars volta, 90 day men, to stuff like fear before the march of flames, NORMA JEAN (yes i said norma jean), and the chariot. I don't even mind Beatles every once in a while.
I could care less whether or not you like the chariot cd. I think it is overall very good but im not trying to say its the best cd of all time. To all of you that don't get it, I would really suggest seeing them live where it all comes together; they honestly put on one of the best shows out there.
Personally I would give the cd a 7 and a half out of 10, because the songs do blend together and it is only about 27 minutes long. Aside from those few shortcomings the cd has great energy and there is obvious passion in the music that cant be ignored. This is quite possibly the most raw and brutal cd I have ever heard. On track 5 I was also very impressed when they showed that they can throw beauty into the mix with the addition of keyboard. Overall I think this cd is a great effort to make something new from a starting band. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

The review talking about it hurting his ears had nothning to do with it being "too intense" for him. There's plenty of extreme metal reviews on here that are very positive. This band purposely does things like keeping bad rhythm and tempo, mediocre production, etc, and while in other cases it may turn out well, this band is trying too hard and it just sounds like shit.
This band is just a big melting pot of everything that sucks about current hardcore and metalcore. They're shit, get over it.

if this is the most brutal cd youve ever heard, youve probably heard 3 bands in your whole life. Shut up tool, this band sucks, and so does just about everything else you listed except for Floyd and Zeppelin, which in that case youve probably only heard Dark Side Of The Moon and Stairway To Heaven.

Oh yeah, and the band still sucks. Too fast and brutal for me I guess, I'd better throw away my Nile and Discordance Axis albums since they certainly don't measure up to a band like The Chariot.
