Tankard - A Girl Called Cerveza

Tankard is a party thrash band from Germany that has been around about 30 years. They are still playing an old school style of thrash that fans will probably be stoked on.

Musically speaking this band plays similar to all the old thrash bands. Its fast has all the right pieces to be a thrash band. As far as compared to their older albums I can't remark as this is the first album I have heard from them. I can say that this album reminds me of other thrash bands coming out. If I had heard this I don't think I would be able to tell the difference from any other band.

The vocals are the typical sung vocals of the older thrash style. No growls or gruff vocals here. His voice fits it well and again sounds similar to other thrash bands.

Overall it was a decent thrash album. Nothing particular jumped out at me as either bad or good. This album had a very generic feel to me which is safe to garner some fans but really sounded like any band that's doing old style thrash. This is definitely for anybody who loves thrash but for those of us that listen to a few good ones probably won't see the appeal.
