Enabler is a hardcore/ metal band from Wisconsin featuring ex-members from Shai Hullud, Trap Them, Earth Crisis and Fall Out Boy. Eventhough the drummer used to play for Fall Out Boy (who actually toured with Earth Crisis) this isn't a soft record. It starts off with an acoustic opening but after about forty seconds it breaks into some fast hardcore. There are elements of hardcore. metal, crust and punk throughout the album but melding them together quite well. The vocals are pleasing and fit extremely well and brings the whole band together. I like his style of singing and really is what I liked about this band.
Overall I really did enjoy the album. Its heaviness and speedy hardcore is done well. My first impression wasn't very good but after a few listens I feel like I get what they are doing. If you love this genre, I am sure you will love this band. If you are just dabbling, this may not be a great place to start but may be worth a listen a little later.
