A grind supergroup of sorts, Murder Construct features Travis Ryan of Cattle Decapitation and members of bands such as Exhumed, Impaled, Jesu, and Intronaut. The outfit released their self-titled EP in 2010 and the 20 minutes of solid grind left me wanting more. These dudes did not fuck around on the follow up, as "Results" has 30 minutes of straight grind. The vocals do not stray far from what we know with Cattle Decapitation's previous work, but offer each track exactly what it needs.
Instrumentally, "Results" is fast and furious, with each song topping out around the 2 minute mark. The guitar is distorted and chunky throughout and the bass fills out the low end with a bit of dirty top end. Drummer Danny Walker is the highlight here, really shining across the LP with lightning fast blasts and pounding fills. Murder Construct really does combine each of the member's other band's strengths and condenses it down to a consistent 30 minute offering. You can preorder "Results" on LP/CD now.
