Beyond the Line was released in 2011 by Tales of Deliria and going into this review I had heard of neither the band nor the album. And that is quite understandable.
This album is nothing short of good album... if it had come out 8-10 years ago. It's Thrash, Melodic Death, Gothenburg, or whatever Extreme Metal tag you like to use for this style of Metal employed by At the Gates and then later on by bands like In Flames, Arch Enemy, HateSphere. Normally I would try not to toss out so many band names when describing a band's sound in a review but this is honestly nothing a seasoned Metal listener hasn't heard before.
This isn't terrible by any means. Just incredibly predictable. I'm sure plenty of people would enjoy this album, just not my thing I guess these days.
