Clowns. They have a bad reputation. Ronald McDonald, Insane Clown Posse, and a lot of people just plain scared of them. Fortunately there is the Joker that redeems clowns a bit by being such a great villain. When I saw this cover I was happy to see that the two clowns on the cover were reminscent of the latter.

Honestly I had no idea what to expect with this band. The clown cover and the name "pigs" gave no inclination towards the style. I tossed it on and was quite surprised. The music is in the style of technical hardcore most likely influenced by Botch and Drive Like Jehu. The music is heavy and they use noise to get their music to into coherent songs that make you feel the emotions they are putting out. Featuring current and former members of Unsane, Converge and Freshkill this explains quite a bit in the quality and style of this album.

Not usually being the biggest fan of this style, I did find myself really enjoying this record. Fans of the aforementioned bands will probably fall in love with this band. I would tell anybody with and open mind and a love of hardcore or just technical heavy music to check these guys out.

This band does not sound like Botch, besides there is already a review of it.
