If the similar bands make you cringe, then look no further. I don't know how paint by the numbers metalcore is still accepted in modern times, yet here is another new album from Miss May I. Throughout many of my reviews, my biggest criticism is rehashing the same shit from album to album. To no surprise, "At Heart" contains songs with your standard heavy intro, sung chorus, heavy verse, breakdown, sung chorus, breakdown formula. THATS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE. There's programmed and sampled to hell drums ripping through each track, with fancy palm muted riffage and some sweeps here and there. Harmonies? Check. Completely inaudible bass guitar? Check.
To be honest, I simply reviewed this rehashed garbage to save another reviewers time, not to mention anybody here that listens to the music featured. If you've heard any metalcore album released between 2002-2004, you already know what this sounds like. Bros wearing tanktops at Warped Tour are stoked to pick this up 6 months from now on the clearance rack at Hot Topic.
The End.
