yeah, definately. i volunteer at a greyhound rescue. its my life...i bond with all of the dogs differently, and im a lot closer to them than most. i spend hours upon hours playing with them, and getting to know them. we get a lot of hounds in the summer time, theyre almost all ex-race hounds, usually from florida. they come in with aweful wounds, nasty skin rashes, hairless bellies and thighs. skiddish as all hell, yet...they love everyone. toot, the hound that died, was an old man, with a really long track life. he had cataracts, and a really bad unirary tract problem. he was so full of life though. always up for runs, always up for hugs and kisses. its so hard when an animal passes, even if its not yer own. meatball is a beauty though. have you had her since she was a pup?
