I was so pissed he was injured leading up to the trade deadline. I used to have such hope for him, but that motherfucker has to go pronto.

Also, Lilja.

One of the laziest players I've ever seen. I'm tired of sitting around waiting for a second overall pick to put it together.

fuck it though, great season in general. our rookies destroyed and we will just get better and better next year.

If they can keep the team somewhat together while under the cap

Homer has some big decisions to make. He has to see if Pronger can actually be ready to go next season or if he'll have to be shelved for all of/most of next year. If he stays on IR, theres plenty of cap room to work with.

Pronger is probably retiring. He can't risk coming back after all the concussion issues.

They looked pretty damn solid in that series.

Everyone keeps overlooking the Devils and assuming they don't have a good squad. They just shut the Flyers down for 80% of that series. Even the one game the Flyers won had to go to overtime for it to happen. Now I'm not saying the Devils will win the Cup because it's moronic to make a claim like that regardless of who you root for, but NJ has just a solid a shot at it as anyone else. Brodeur has been awesome and he IS the type of goalie who can steal games. All of the forwards are clicking on four solid lines, making their scoring threat very deep. Defense has been great, and the forecheck is dominating when they get it going. The biggest threat to NJ is their discipline. If they stay sharp and don't take stupid penalties, then they are dangerous.

TL/DR : Keep underestimating the Devils. That's worked out great so far

Devils flat out embarrassed the flyers. No doubt about them being the way better club.

Even though the Flyers lost I am still actually really happy with how things turned out. Not with the playoffs obviously, but just the season overall. No one expected any of this. They have an extremely bright future ahead.

These Devils, hope Marty can grab a cup before he retires.

It's the only record that Roy holds still that I really want Marty to match. He's never going to match the career playoff wins, but he toppled just about everything else Roy ever did. This would be the capper should it actually happen.
