Unfair.

Makes me sick. He's a fucking manager of a Damn fucking baseball team. Why is he being asked about Castro. It's the media looking for this shit. Who cares, its his view of politics.

Now Cuban Americans are saying its like a German coach saying he liked Hitler.

If he said the same thing while still coaching in Chicago it would be a lot different but a huge portion of the population in Miami are Cuban Americans who defected from Cuba because of his dictatorship. He had to be punished for PR reasons. This team is already going to struggle to fill their stadium and this is going to already alienate a lot of potential fans.

its not like he's joe maddon where he'll talk to you for an hour about his team. ozzie can't keep a straight thought to save his life. hell, he probably directed the conversation this way.

i doubt they kicked off the conversation with "hi im john doe from blah blah blah, tell me your thoughts on fidel castro"

Castro isn't even on the same page as Hitler.

Ok I do understand why they have to punish him, I understand he obviously shouldn't have said it.

To you he isn't. To Cubans who have lived under him? You must be high if you think they don't feel that way.

I'm sure they do. I feel he isn't.

They should have allowed him to apologize and that's it. I don't believe any of the fans will think different with the five game suspension.

It will just be interesting to follow the fallout of this. People are supposedly going to be protesting.
