i'll sell you an os-2, it's the same thing only it has overdrive shit too.

shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i'm trying to make a sale.
The only reason I'd buy a DS-1 is for that mod. I'm plenty happy with my overdrives. I'm trying to move the tubescreamer out, but I'm waiting for another pedal to come in to take its place.
Unless you're selling it for $10(how much I was going to buy the DS1 for), I'm not interested.

did you pick that up by choice? just wondering, totally not saying anything.
i know peavey puts out some good older all tube heads that are mega cheap to purchase
Nah. As my band was leaving our old practice place, I found it in a closet. The guy on the lease had been there for 13 years or so with his bands. At some point, it showed up. He said I could take it home. I started playing it at home while my Carvin rig was up at the studio. For whatever reason, I really dug it. Go figure.
Something still isn't 100%, but the ability to dial in an edge on the clean channel at any volume is a huge plus for me. The "saturation" control on the lead channel makes some rad spitty overdrive sounds. I can blend both channels making some cool tones, too.
I almost bought a Peavey Heritage off Craigslist. It's the same amp, but with a tube power amp.
Really though, it's a great sounding amp. My Carvin X100B is currently lying on the floor. I'll plug that in soon and check my sanity.

i just changed over cabinets today while playing and i wish i could have recorded the difference between cabinets. i think it's my best evidence to how HUGE of a difference quality speakers and quality cabinets make on your sound.i was running through my fender era sunn 215 and one of my '67 4x12's. originial sunn drivers in the 4x12 and stock eminence in the 215.
i switched it to run my '67 sunn 215 with altec lansing cast drivers and the difference not just in tone, but in the overall sound of everything is staggering.
moral of the story: good cabinets make you sound good, fuck celestion
