Band Biography: The beginning? Cincinnati, Ohio where I and Chris Stewart founded our band, The Black Veil Brides. The next to join was Nate, he was originally seeking to take the role as lead guitarist but took Phil's place as bassist. That didn't last for long though and soon took the role, making Black Veil Brides a four band piece. Originally we wanted to be sort of a glamish band with a edge related to 69 eyes, but that wasn't how it wound up. Our older music shows the influence of the band on us. Nate was the main writer of the music when it came to the band and took it seriously. My lyrics focused more on personal feelings or heart, while Nate's reflected on a influence of dark poetry. By June of 2007, BVB was at the top of the food chain, we were well known and played in front of live crowds constantly. The line-up did change though with Chris leaving to pursue his playing in another band and Phil leaving. This left a great opening though for Bobby, Mark and Mike as well as a keyboardist named Kevin, which gave us a new element to mix into our already evolving sound. Things hit a snag at the last hometown show before going in to record the new BVB album and plan our first music video. Distance was causing a rift between Nate and I, which resulted in practices and rehearsals going on for weeks at a time, barely talking and writing was coming to a screeching halt. Needless to say, this got under my skin; the fanbase was getting stronger and louder and I felt the band was coming to a halt. Nate felt that the songs should take more time, more effort be placed into them. The following month, Bobby informed the other members that Nate and Kevin were leaving Black Veil Brides. In 2009, Pan was kicked from BVB, which resulted in some very nasty and untrue rumors about them, especially about me saying that I was fake =/. The fanbase stuck by BVB and me, perhaps becoming stronger as a ending result. Black Veil Brides dominates Myspace and Twitter, with members constantly tweeting and interacting with fans. We plan to release a album in 2010 named "Never Give In", which is exactly what the we have done. Currently Black Veil Brides consists of the following members: Andy Sixx - Vocals Jinxx - Guitar Sandra Alvarenga - Drums Ashley Purdy - Bass Andy Sixx (me) biography Hey =] My name is Andrew Biersack. I'm also known as Andy Sixx. I was born on December 26th 1991 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, but moved to Cincinnati Ohio at a young age. I am 6'2 with blue eyes. My father was in a punk band called The Edge. The Edge toured with bands such as The Misfits and Stiff Little Fingers. When I was young, I watched my father play and I learned everything I possibly could. Growing up I played hockey and was ranked as a junior olympian. In the 8th grade I started my own band called Biersack. While in Biersack I would make cds and hand them out at school to every person I knew. In... I think 2005, I moved to Burbank California and began an acting career in t.v comercials [AT and T, Montana Meth, etc] as well as print modeling. One year later I moved back to Cincinnati to start Black Veil Brides <3 =] I have several tattoos such as a 13 inch tattoo of "Azreal Batman",(my favorite comic book character.) On my left arm he has an alkaline trio heart . I also have a funeral presession flower, a bleeding misfits skull and a danzig skull. I do smoke. I went to School for Creative and Performing Arts for my high school education and majored in Drama and Vocal music. I have always cut my own hair. Before shows I like to hang out with our fans.
