Same, now I just have to determine which one.

There were more Unsullied in episode 6 than there were in the battle of Winterfell. Maybe they have magical cloning powers.

Arya is still in King's Landing. But the horse is gone.

Tyrion offers no soliloquy to the bodies of Jaime or Cersei. Completely against his character. Just silence.

Jon Snow has been reduced from epic warrior king to a whimpering weakling with no emotion who repeats, "My queen" over and over.

Bran went from "I can never be lord of anything..." to "Why do you think I came all this way?"

Jon is ordered sent to the Wall again, by Grey Worm, who leaves for Naath before Jon even leaves. There is no reason for a Night's Watch anymore, given that the Night King is gone. Sansa allows this, because then Jon is out of the way and she can be Queen of the North...after Jon risked his life many times over, to save her and the rest of his family and the entire continent of Westeros from certain death. No one calls her out on this.

The point of Jon being a Targaryen amounted to nothing. The prophecies amounted to nothing. Eight years of this show amounted to nothing.

Well at least we got to see Edmure Tully one last time. (facepalm) This was the stupidest ending imaginable, to what was once the greatest tale of our time. Every single character who lived to season 8 has been assassinated and turned into a farce, a joke, a betrayal of who they were supposed to be.

The finale episode actually unmade me as a fan of the show. It rendered eight years of watching it utterly useless. I felt empty inside, like I'd just wasted years of my life playing a stupid video game instead of imbibing an epic story that used to have a point. Once you get to the second-to-the-last scene of S08E03, when the piano stops playing and everything is silent, as the Night King faces Bran, turn it off and never watch the rest. Just pretend the Night King wins the Long Night battle, kills Bran, and then kills everyone in Westeros instead. That would have been a better ending.

I think thats more of an ending people expected, but right from the killing of Ned, I think it was safe to assume that expectations were kind of thrown out the window. I think folks weren't expecting a happy ending, and when they got one, it threw them off kilter. I dug it overall, minus some glaring plot holes and stupidity this season, I think the story worked in the end.

What will be interesting to see is if GRRM follows the same path as laid out in the show or if he will treat it like a giant focus group to hone the rest of the literary version towards a more crowd pleasing ending? My guess is not, as hes on record as saying "art is not democratic, you don't get to vote on the ending you want" or something to that extent.

If I were to write the ending, it would go something like this. So the Night King kills Bran, Arya, and everybody in Westeros. The entire continent freezes and becomes a land of ice and undead creatures. Jon and Daenerys, the only survivors, escape on their dragons and fly east. They land in Essos and rule together from Meereen as king and queen. With Bran dead, it is left to Jon to tell the epic cautionary tale of ruling unwisely and bringing destruction upon one's land and people. Jon embraces his true name (Aegon VI Targaryen), learns the Valyrian and Dothraki languages, and transcribes the story for all to understand. The story then makes some sort of sense then because it is a song of Ice (Jon....Westeros) and Fire (Daenerys...Essos)
