Name some newer horror movies you thought were decent and would recommend.

Housebound was a good one I just saw. Horror comedy but it had some jump scares. Very well done, campy towards the end but I really recommend it. People under the stairs vibe and all.

The Taking of Deborah Logan. Found footage but not as predictable as others. Starts off quickly and has a story and enough twists to keep it going right to the end. Found footage executed very well.

Willow Creek bobcat goldwaithes horror flick. Haven't finished it halfway through now but so far so good. Another food footage styled film.

I liked the taking of Deborah Logan. I thought the Babadook was a cool mental illness personified story. The Battery was an above decent zombie movie given that genre is done to death.

I need to see more stuff though.

Babadook was great.

The Sacrament - Ti West's found footage take on the Jonestown Massacre. Nothing new but solid.

[.REC] 4 - It's not nearly as good as the first two films but still a good zombie flick and the conclusion to the story.

Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead - more of the ridiculousness of the first one that feature Nazi zombies. It's not a great film by any stretch but it's entertaining because it's so over the top.

Tusk - Kevin Smith's second dive into the horror genre. It's super weird and people seem to either love it or hate it.

Movies that came out in the last 10 years that you probably never watched:

Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon - a mockumentary about the next big horror killer. A film crew follows him around as he shows the tricks that killers like Myers and Voorhees use.

Evil Aliens - Splatstick sci-fi horror/comedy from England.

Evil (aka To Kako) - Greece's first zombie flick. I wish more people saw this before the zombie craze became the dead horse but it's still worth the watch.

I Sell The Dead - Abbott and Costello like flick about grave robbers that start robbing the graves of the more supernatural type. Features Ron Pearlman and Dominic Monaghan.

Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer - in vain of Evil Dead 2.

The Orphanage - Spanish ghost story. Was produced by Guillermo Del Toro.

Sheitan - French flick with my boy Vincent Cassel.

Severance - think the british version of the office meets deliverance.

Sunshine - Danny Boyle's sci-fi horror.

Frontier(s) - basically the French version of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre

I forgot about the sacrament, probably the best execution from ti west and very suspenseful despite being a mirror story of Jonestown

The actor who plays the Jim Jones character steals the show, especially during the interview scene.

Saw Sacrement, Tusk, Babadook, I sell the Dead, The Orphanage. Will look into the others. Also I take back what I said about Willow Creek. It had went downhill fast.

I liked "zombeavers". it's not scary, but it has zombie-beavers in it.
"the returned" was also ok, and "the battery".

The Battery was really good. I thought The guy who played Ben was a solid actor which helped carry the dialogue.

Another one to add to the list is Stakeland. It's a vampire flick. Like a post-apocalyptic vampire flick. Danielle Harris is in it. I'd say it's more entertaining than mindblowing.

Clown wasn't bad but it had a lot more potential. Isn't Jon Watts the guy who made the Robocop video with 15000 dicks getting shot off
