I agree with Dan on this. What makes you think Gustafsson will go for LNP? He stood with Shogun, who most agreed had the striking advantage as well. When he did take Shogun down, he worked. Shogun was offensive off his back so the damage wasn't great but he was throwing strikes with ill intent.

When I think LNP, I think of Jon Fitch, old Koscheck fights, and Nik Lentz. I don't think of Alexander Gustafsson.

Mousasi will be tired by the end of the 2nd, Gustaffson will finish him then or in the third by TKO. Mousasi will then make move he should have taken 5 years ago and drop to middleweight.

Lol@gegard getting finished. Gegard was fighting at MW five years ago, dude. Gegard needs to move to MW even though his last two fights at LHW have been against huge guys? Ok.

Mark my words, Gus will take him and try and grind out a win. No one thought shogun had a standing advantage, shogun is a shell of his former self. Mousasi is a lot more dangerous at this point.

Alot of experts were giving Shogun the striking advantage but questioned how he'd deal with the reach of Gustaffson, which is eerily similar to that of Jon Jones. They predicted, much like myself, that it he would chop at his small tree sized legs. If he was able to smash the much shorter Machida to death with leg kicks, someone as tall as Alexander would be fresh for the picking. Unfortunately Shogun went for only haymakers and threw less than a dozen kicks the whole fight.

Sherdog has apparently confirmed that Gustafsson is injured (cut) and the main event might be in jeopardy. Great news only 6 days from fight. Someone call Vitor Belfort, I'm sure he'll fight.

on a bright note, this card is pretty shitty without the main even. . .oh yeah that's not on the bright side of things.

I only caught two full fights (couture/pearson & mousasi/latifi)
couture got stuck standing up and got popped and dropped.

mousasi stood on the outside and through jabs for three rounds. latifi had no head movement which made the jabs a smart game plan and he (latifi) only tried one poor attempt at a takedown in first.

Because Fuel still isn't available on Comcast in my area, I didn't see a single second of this event. I heard it was pretty awful so i'm not bummed I missed it.

Yeah that's pretty dumb of him. There are different ways to handle yourself in stating the same opinion. There have been girls that have said they wouldn't fight Fallon Fox because they don't believe the playing field has been leveled by her hormone therapy and that's a much more tactful and respectable way of handling the situation. Mittrione can think exactly what he said and that's his right to feel that way, but when you are in the spotlight of being a UFC fighter, you have to handle yourself a little differently than say, I would. Everything you say is going to be ripped to shreds.
