My favorite movie of all time is probably Seven Samurai, but I can only watch it like once every year or two so it'd be a bad desert island choice.

Others that come to mind immediately are Dawn of the Dead (1978), There Will Be Blood, and Amores Perros.

My desert island choice would either be Forgetting Sarah Marshall or The Thing.

For the island scenario, I'd take a book. I don't even watch my favorite movies more than once a year or every few years.
