Aldo and Rampage hurt.

Urijah Faber is pushing for either him or Chad Mendes to face Edgar at this event. Would watch either of those.

This weekend.

Gabriel Gonzaga's opponent Geronimo Dos Santos pulled out of the fight and instead of finding new opponent, the fight has been scrapped completely. Also, the reasons for the withdrawl have not been disclosed either.

The Fitch fight was actually entertaining but I give most of the credit to Erick Silva who forced Fitch to fight. Fitch was definitely trying to force his top heavy game on Silva but Silva kept finding a way to scramble out. It was definitely the best fight of the night.

As for the main event, I felt that it was pretty anti-climatic. Anderson did some impressive things like put himself against the cage as if to say to Bonnar he wasn't afraid of his gameplan. He sat there and toyed with him and then when he felt like ending it, he did. It was easy money for Silva like everyone expected.

Phil Davis had a sick anaconda choke and Big Nog showed Dave Herman that jiu-jitsu is a real deal martial art.

The Nogueira's are 36 years old and have looked like senior citizens for the last 10 years.

Father time is catching up with him. In the Pride days he was notorious for absorbing an inhumanly amount of punishment (look at the Fedor and Crocop fights) so at 36, he's well beyond the average person his age in terms of MMA years. Anderson is a year older than him and fights like he's 10 years younger.

Also, its been 10 months since his arm was snapped. I know he couldn't train for like 5-6 months. If your body is used to working out, I can't imagine how much of a shit your metabolism takes when you have to go from 100 to 0 immediately.

For Bonnar it doesn't really matter. I haven't heard if the UFC is going to fine him or not but even so he got such a good chunk of change for that fight (Main eventers always get PPV %) that even if he loses 20%, he'll still have made a good amount of money to ride off into the sunset with.

Herman on the otherhand, that's the deathblow. I'm sure he's getting released from the UFC with this one. By the time I type this, it might have already happened.
