Anyone who goes after Nash will have to give up a lot to get him, and if he's to be a UFA at the end of the season, why trade for him now anyway unless you're looking to rent or are positive you can re-sign him in the post season? He's a risky gamble.

nash has six years left on his contract, at 8 mil per. I'd love to see a team like the rangers make the deal and have it blow up in their face.

Odds are that Parise will re-sign to NJ. The only team that has a shot at getting him would be the Wild but that's not very likely. He definitely won't sign with Philly and he said "no way" that he would sign to the Rangers. Being from Minn, that's the only other place he's likely to even consider. NJ has a lot of cap space freed up to sign him to a lengthy, well paid contract so it would be a shock if he didn't sign a new contract with the Devils.

I don't know who I had Nash mixed up with because I thought this was his final year of his current contract. I don't see Philly going after him (not impossible though) because I think they would have to give up a lot to get him and they really don't need to bolster their offense since they've got a pretty potent group of forwards already. They need defense in front of their bipolar goalie first and foremost.

I have no idea where Nash will end up because I think Howson is expecting returns greater than most teams are willing to give up. I'm sure a deal will be made though in the next few weeks.

It'll be one of the more interesting off-seasons in awhile. I'm also curious to see where Luongo gets traded, where Ryan Suter may end up, and if guys like Jordan Staal pr Bobby Ryan will be dealt. I'm also eager to see if the Oilers stick with the #1 pick and end up taking Yakupov.
