Anyone interested? We're trying to get a team together. It's in September. There's definitely enough time to get ready.

Attn: Pollcat

This is your chance to prove to Chris NASE that you are the man of the house. If not, I will gladly keep the title of rule of the Pollman household.

Unless it involves making money, ny mets/giants, star wars. I don't have much interest.

Can't you people do something fun like a junior achievement stock market game.

Isn't this like the Tough Mudder? A bunch of people who participated in that came into the Haitian place I work at.... they weren't exactly "warriors" maybe, weekend warriors. reminded me of the type of people who when i play basketball or football play like one series and either get injured, hit real hard or shot blocked/broken off on the dribble, say something about "whew I'm beat!" after 1 run, and leave never to be seen again.

oh well, seems fun though aside from people from The Office getting their "warrior" on.

After doing a Tough Mudder, I will say that they aren't exactly easy but at the same time they are as hard as you make them. There were people that started well over an hour before us and we passed them only 4 or 5 miles in because they were walking most of it. The idea of these races is to challenge yourself and I think some people, while they do the event, barely push themselves to just out of their comfort zone. You can skip any obstacle you don't feel comfortable with.

The same will go with the Spartan Run or even the Warrior Dash. You can go after it or you can just skip by and claim the prize at the end. Personally I don't think people who push themselves should be proud of the prize but whatever makes someone happy at the end of the day. The Mudder I did was 38 degrees and the water was colder. For some people just being out in that for 4+ hours and putting forth more physical effort than they are used to in that amount of time, it was a big accomplishment for them.

I won't completely shit on anyone that does these events. I just want to see people really push themselves, no matter what their limits are.

I guess every comment i ever make on this site makes me seem hateful and incredibly negative, but really I think its cool people want to challenge themselves. Also, sometimes I have this bad habit of forgetting not everyone has immeasurable athletic ability that they just waste because they like weed (like i do) and I think I'm unfair with my criticisms of people trying to just have fun.

Either way, I should enter Warrior Dash, I can guarantee I'd finish in the top 5 overall.

isn't someone buying you a video game kind of like paying you for your services?
