whatever happens with the stuff north of the wall? for some reason i'm thinking the whole saga could end with the all that stuff taking over and the dragons being the only thing that can beat them back at all, installing/reinstating dani as empress hottie.

So far the Stark family does not reunite. Arya ends up in Braavos, Sansa goes to the Eyrie, Bran goes north of the wall and Rickon travels with Osha(wildling chick) to Skagos(?).

Jon becomes commander of the Nights Watch and allows all the wildlings and giants to take shelter at the abandoned castles along the wall. He does this to reduce the amount of Others that could be turned against the Wall when the white walkers show up.

She has not died yet, she has been humiliated publicly though.

They are just the 2 orphans that Bran sent to work on that guys farm a few episodes ago, but Theon refused to let people think that he was weak and was outsmarted by a cripple, a halfwit, a wildling and a child, so he kills those 2 kids and lets people think they are Bran and Rickon.

In the books, Quorin Halfhand tells John Snow to kill him so the Wildlings think he is a turncoat and take him in. It doesn't seem like that is happening in the show.

It's too bad they're not putting that in as it was a huge part in Jon's story. Unless the Halfhand has been captured off screen and then the wildlings force Jon into killing him.

They've really changed up a lot of stuff from the books this season.

Given what takes place during the storm and the RW, that's either going to be the episode that it happens, or the one after. If it is ep 7, that leaves room for the Purple Wedding as the finale. It's going to make television history. The producers have said from the start of the show that the RW is the scene they have been looking forward to shooting the most. And I mean, obviously it's the most jaw-droppping what the fuck read the pages again moment in the series.

The battle of the blackwater was great in the books, and made even better in the adaptation (even without Tyrion's Chain and Sansa's song and other minor details). If they can pull that off with RW, Tv's and brains are going to fucking explode.

I'm a huge nerd and have already watched last night's episode 4 times.

what kind of storm? and what happens at the purple wedding?

also, what happened to davos and his son in last night's ep? they dead, crippled, or just gone?

In the book, his son died, but he has like 7 sons I think. One is the King's Steward, and lived, 2 or 3 were captains of other ships during the battle of Blackwater, and 2 are at home with his wife. Davos pops up later and eventually will be tasked with escorting Rickon back to Winterfell to claim his seat (I think thats what happened at least)

The Red Wedding is a wedding between Catelyn Starks brother and one of the Freys (a Stark ally). Rob and Catelyn attend the wedding. PRior to this, Robb married that other girl, even though he was promised to one of the Freys, so as an act of revenge, during the wedding feast, the Freys kill all the Stark men, including Robb and Catelyn.

Catelyn eventually comes back as she was brought back to life by the Lord of Light, and tasks Brienne with killing Jamie Lannister.

The Purple Wedding is when Joffrey dies, poisoned by Maergary Tyrells grandmother, but Tyrion gets the blame. Sansa flees and you find out the whole thing was orchestrated by LIttlefinger. Tyrion is put in prison, and is eventually freed by Jamie and the Eunuch, but before he goes, he kills Tywin Lannister.

cool, although too bad about tywin lannister; he seems like a decent king caught up in the bullshit storm spun by his evil daughter. along with everyone else. come to think of it, everything bad so far in the saga seems to come from cersei in one form or another. sorry to hear she doesn't get tortured to death.

Just finished A Dance With Dragons

So what does everyone think?

Is Jon dead?
Will Dany accept Tyrion once he makes it to her? (we know he will)
Is Jon, Lyanna and Raegar's child?
