It's pretty easy to spend when you're not the one that has to sweat to make the money. And remember, that's $18 million dollars largely from people who often can barely afford food for their families.

Better to use one's millions to pay off politicians to make even more money rather than to pay a living wage to one's employees, which would also bring in more profit.. but not as much of a huge, obscene profit for the already wealthy.
