the heavyweight belt is held in so low regard that its the opening match and lasts 15 seconds?

That's tough to say. The way they have built Daniel Bryan up as a heel who has been consistently winning matches through DQ and other trickery made it pretty hilarious that he ended up losing the belt that way. The real tragedy is that he is one of, if not the best, skilled wrestlers in the company and it is a waste of talent that he didn't get to actually wrestle. It honestly makes for better storyline for the people that follow it weekly but really lame for the standalone Wrestlemania event.

Exactly. Bryan getting squashed may suck for those who don't watch every week, but this is an opportunity to let him turn full-on heel and allow him to show his mic skills the way he did in the indies. He'll blame AJ, get massive heat and he'll shine.

Cena, like him or hate him, got a raw deal last night. Rock winning does NOTHING for Cena's character, it doesn't push him, doesn't get him over with fans, doesn't earn him any respect and for a company guy who is supposed to be your flagbearer it's a slap in the face. Hogan vs The Rock was a passing of the Torch to the Rock and I believe that is what this match should have been. Even if The Rock and Cena shook hands at the end of it all and showed each other mutual, honest respect, it could have saved the mess. I don't get it. I assume this was Vince wanting another big 'Mania moment rather than planning ahead (something WWE is awful for).

Aaaaanyway.... Colt's podcast is great. Listen to the interviews with MVP.
