I've been dabbling with python lately. You familiar with that language at all or are you more of a C++ guy?

C++ is the exact opposite of useful for web anything. Try Java instead.

I've heard Java is a good next step from Python. I would definitely be down for it after I master Python.

If you're going to get into web programming learn HTML JavaScript and CSS. The learn a server side language like php, cold fusion or asp.net
