I get it. How else are they going to introduce the rest of the world to these new fighters? Plus Brasil is going to fucking nuts for these fighters and I'm sure the ratings are through the roof for the entire season. They are talking about having this event at a soccer stadium. Guarantee it sells out in a nanosecond too.

i understand them marketing it on the global/brazil level but i wonder if merican, casual, viewers who watch the show will be willing to pay $60 for fights they normally get for free.

Yes they will.

Sonnen/Silva & Wandy/Vitor will be enough of a draw that me vs. you could be the 3rd fight from the top and people would still pay.

Sonnen/Silva moved to Vegas in July. Aldo vs. Koch gets top billing for this event and date moved from the 16th to the 23rd due to UN Conference

Card updated. Aside from the main event, is a big giant "who gives a shit?". I'll read the results the next day and try to find a stream of the Franklin/Silva fight. Also hoping for Russow to KO Werdum. That would be funny to me.

So when it was all said and done, this card didn't turn out half bad. After watching videos of the fights the next day, I'll still say it wasn't worth the PPV price but would have been a great FX or Fox card. Even with the decisions, the fights delivered.

I would add the post fight presser notes but it was a waste of time. All of the questions, naturally, were in Portuguese and there was no translation to the questions being asked. After a long pause due to the fighter getting the translation in his headset, they finally answered. Most of the stuff talked about was training, where they'd like to go, and a whole bunch more nothing.
