Does anyone else get bombarded with invitations for these things? I know like 5 women right now hosting some kind of stupid party for some lame product they're selling that I have no interest in spending my money on... and still I feel like a shit for not attending and supporting the person hosting the event. Why are these so popular???

I don't know. Tastefully Simple has some pretty awesome dips, though. When I see Pampered Chef, I have to turn away because they have a lot of awesome stuff that is just way over-priced.

The only parties like this that I ever had were "Slumberparties." Those were always fun.

I've never smelled the Scentsy things or tasted any food from Tastefully Simple but I know the price tags attached to those things are ridiculous. I'm cheap I guess. I won't even buy Yankee Candles unless they're on sale. My one friend attended one of the TS parties of another mutual friend and felt bad and bought some $40 bread stuff and was super pissed off with what she got for her money. Another girl I know had a party for some hideous handbags she was selling (I forget the name), and now my cousin is selling Mary Kay and having some party for it... Every other week it seems I get an invitation for one of these parties and I just don't see the appeal. I guess seeing how they're so popular I must be in the minority, so more power to those who enjoy them I guess. Not for me though.

Slumber parties, however, I'm down with!

Exactly.... The time and effort needed to host one of those things and then get what $200 bucks back toward a 1/2 off product of your choice. Woooo fucking hooo. No thanks.

that's all I'll ever buy from them. Their Fiesta Party dip is excellent and the container lasts forever.

I heard the Scentsy candles are awesome too, but I haven't experienced them in person. I never go to any of those parties, just the TS ones to reup my fiesta party dip seasoning.
