this album was only released a few months ago and is easily one of my top 5 favorite albums of all time. adam wiltzie (stars of the lid, the dead texan) and david o'halloran.. ambient drone with piano, a four-piece string ensemble, and tons of washed-out delay and filters on guitar. I'm usually not into drone at all, but the composition is incredible, the album flows seamlessly from beginning to end, and the music itself is just insanely beautiful. here's my favorite track from the album, a symphony pathetique. the passage that begins around 4:10 is one of the most glorious moments I've ever heard in music.
