i love chicken and dumplings but the first time i made it was a huge fail. i got a recipe off recipes.com and i was skeptical about the use of pillsbury dough for the dumplings but all the reviews boasted good things so i tried it... horrible. i guess some people make it with bread dumplings but i think that's disgusting. pasta dumplings or bust.

for dumplings/noodles i just mix 5 eggs in a bowl then add flour until it gets to a less sticky consistancy. then roll them out real thin and chop them into either dumplings or noodles. throw them in a stock that you made with a whole chicken, carrots, celery, and onions. pick the chicken and throw it in there. eat until you die

that's basically what i do when i make egg noodles/dough balls. i should have done that and went with my gut when i made the chick and dumplings, but using the pillsbury dough sounded so easy and i was under the impression the consistency was going to be similar. nope! will try again.
