a friend of mine said the same thing. there's no such thing as "oh this shirt is ok, i'll wear it again next time" when you're doing bikram.

i'll keep posting updates in here so i will feel accountable.

current workout:
mon - chest
tues - stomach and back
wed - arms
fri - shoulders and back

and cardio every day:
20 min elliptical
10 min cross trainer
1/2 mile walk to cool down

here goes nothin

Just a thought - you should be focusing more on leg routines with your knee issues. I made the mistake of concentrating too much on upper body strength/muscle when it was really my legs that needed the workout more to stay healthy.

Concentrating on the muscles around your knee will really help you when you get older, especially since you are already in pain. I do leg lift type routines(with 200 sit ups in between reps) with no weights every workout for about 20 minutes, ride the bike for half an hour, then the other 40 minutes I do free weights for 20 minutes (light weights, 30 pound dumb bells - high reps - I work a different group of muscles every routine). I also do 20 minutes of resistance training with resistance bands. I have four different routines I do as far as the free weights go and do four of these hour and a half workouts a week, along with 20-30 miles on my bike each weekend.

Posting this in here too.

This might be a tall order, but somebody in here might be into fitness enough that they'll take the type to type something out.

I need to lose like 100 pounds, bad. My parents bought me a YMCA membership for Christmas that goes into effect on the 14th. Thing is, I don't remember how to do any lifts aside from like, curls and bench press or whatever.

Essentially, I need a routine. Something like

*this exercise/this many reps/this many sets*
*next exercise/reps/sets*
etc. etc. etc.

Would anybody wanna help my flabby ass out with this? I lost like 80 pounds in middle school from running, but I don't see myself being able to pull that off now that I'm a relatively heavy smoker. The gym has a pool, so I plan on swimming for cardio, and I know that's real important, but just as important to me is the skin that'll undoubtedly hang around. So, I figure doing like 5/6 days a week of low-weight/high-rep lifting with lots of swimming and eating better could take care of it, I just need to know exactly what exercises to be doing.

Thanks in advance!
