They are saying the prelims will probably be shown via facebook. Only the main event is getting guaranteed airtime for Fox.

They are only getting an hour for the Fox broadcast for this first crack at it. So in theory with opening gladiator thing, a welcome from Joe and Goldy, the fighter entrances, Buffer's 20 minute ordeal, and then a potential 30 minute (including min between rounds) scrap; the production could run close to an hour. But we all know this fight isn't making it out of the 2nd, so we'll probably get a quick prelim fight aired afterwards. They should have had it set up to have the Henderson/Guida fight on as well.

It was alot faster than expected for sure, but the production was great and it ended with a KO. There also was no grappling which is the biggest complaint by non-fans. It could have been way, way worse. Stoked to see where they go with this.

The reason I say that is because instead of having a fight or two air on Fox before the main event, they crammed 35 minutes of filler leading up to the fight, and then the fight lasted for one minute. For the UFC's basic cable debut it seemed like it would have been underwhelming for a casual fan that decided to tune in. Seems like Dana White would have like to have seen it go for at least one round (frankly, I would have like to as well), but who knows, maybe he loved it.

They are saying the show peaked at 9 million viewers.

UFC on Fox 2 is tentatively scheduled for Jan 28th in Chicago. No word on who is fighting yet though.
