you get four or five guys, rent a garage somewhere, and everyone chips in on rent and equipment. probably cost like a hundred per guy upfront and thirty a month. Everyone gets a key so they have 24/7 access. You end up with a cheaper gym, where everyone is friends and everyone just pushes each other to lift hard. It would be awesome, you just need enough reliable guys

Long time member of two at one point. One is now defunct and the other is still a key gym but has a ton of members. I would love a small private gym like the old place I used to go.

I would do this if I could. I really enjoyed lifting when I did it, and would like to start up again if I had some one or a group of people to keep me honest and motivated.

In the past I had just gotten too busy with school and everything. I have been running pretty regularly since I started working but that is about it. Lifting weights I always feel like any time I've tried alone I've either had poor form or not pushed myself as hard as I could with someone there to keep me honest or motivate me to go harder.

you know anyone else that might want in? it wouldn't take long to put it together.

i figure some used barbells off craigslist, a used bench, i'll weld up a squat rack in mike's basement, a space heater and we'd be rolling with five hundred up front. get a space heater in a few months. we can throw a damn rock on the ground, the important part is reliable people

the best. I used to hit up big dog on route 61 all the time. no one to ever bother you and always open equipment to use.

I was sharing a space like this with 4 dudes around the corner from where I lived a few months ago. One of them lived above the garage & was running one of those cross-fit boot camp early morning workout jawns twice a week. I couldn't handle how cold it got in there, so I stopped sharing & got a $20 per month membership to planet fitness. buh

you wanna look at trim there are a hundred better places for it than the gym anyway. besides, with the money we save on gym dues we can put up a pole and throw in for a stripper once a month. come lift in a cold dirty garage and we'll conquer the world
