in the last couple of weeks I have watched Mr Death, Standard Operating Procedure, The Fog of War, The Thin Blue Line, and all of the episodes of First Person I can find on youtube.

all of it is absolutely brilliant.

yeah, he's pretty great. check out 'vernon, florida' and 'fast, cheap and out of control'.

also, he's totally different, but you might like ross mcelwee as well. he's far more personal and sociological than morris, but the two of them are the best 'non-fiction' filmmakers that really go above and beyond the standard documentary formula from this country.

i'll check him out. already watched fast..., gonna watch vernon in a few mins.
