ok, first things - i haven't exercised consistently for about 6 years now and have gained an atrocious amount of weight. i smoke cigarettes too which i know is dumb but i feel confident in my ability to some day quit.

now, i have a huge goal, and it's something i've done before in my life so i know that i can do it again. what really really sucks at this point though is that i've forgotten almost every weight exercise in my years spent away from them. i mean, i know that i need a lot of cardio and i know what areas i should be working on, i just don't remember how or at what pace to do it.

i made a thread like this once before but i went on tour and said fuck it then spent a long time treating my body like shit. i'm really looking for some input from ex-fatties who have shed a decent amount of weight. any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

quit smoking. stop drinking soda. the only liquid in your diet should be water. dont eat any more pizza or bread, run three miles per day, start a push up and pull up regimen and track your progress. eat chalk instead of real food, little bits of planmt and soil also

I have no interest in doing that at all though. Karate, MMA, etc has never appealed to me.

you dont have to fight anyone, just the cardio of the pad hitting workout is more than any normal gym

its true. I was thisclose to joining the women's program at Wren's mma place, but I just couldn't afford it at the end of the day.

I'll also reccommend swapping out all beverages with water and getting 30 minutes a day of cardio.

I've just been lifting weights and doing 30-45 mins of cardio a day and been watching what I eat/drink for the past 3 weeks and I lost 6-7 lbs.

its not magical, you are consuming much less sodium if you do this and you lose a lot of water weight. I used to stop drinking soda a month or two before performances when I was a ballet dancer so I could fit into my tutus, haha.
