So I watched the original Brit version of the TV series this week... And I like it so much better than the American version. Has anyone else seen it?

I'm a big fan of both versions of the show

I like both versions, too, but for a while I fell out of the American version because I had to work/go to class whenever it was showing. I like the British version because it seems... more realistic/true to life? I don't know.

if I had to choose which one I like better, I'd go with the british version. ricky gervais is hilarious.

I also kind of like the fact that Dawn and Tim didn't get together, unlike Jim and Pam.

yeah but i don't think thats what the writers originally had in mind. the whole christmas special is basically one big happy ending for the series, which ended rather depressingly. i think they just wanted to tie everything together because the show had become so popular at that point.

Yes, it did, and I think that's why I liked it! It wasn't the typical happy ending thing. Like on the American Office it seems like everything always turns out ok for everyone, and in the British version, it didn't... Until the Christmas special, I guess.

the episode where ricky gervais starts playing his guitar in the middle of that meeting had me laughing really hard the entire time. the guest speakers facial expressions were priceless. also the fact that he was actually singing well made it all the more awkward and hilarious. i think i'm gonna watch that episode now.

the christmas special for this season was fucking hilarious, like the funniest episode in 3 years.

the british office is terrible. british humor/comedy is terrible 100% of the time
