Me and some friends decided it was time to start a screamo/techno band, but we've hit a bit of a snag. We don't know which guitar is right for our kind of sound. We have a sever-string stratocaster that my step-dad gave me, but I don't think it'll have enough tang to it, you know? We also have a 12 string, but our guitarist hasn't had enough practice on one to really get the tempos down. What do you think we should use?

Is what for real? 12 strings are sooooo hard, though. Four years ago, I told my step-dad that I wanted to learn how to play guitar just like him. Instead of him getting me a regular 6 string aucustic like everyone gets when they first start out, he gave me his old 12 string and told me to learn on my own I still can't play that thing, and I've been practicing for two years lol
