also, just because monkeys are most like humans compared to other animals does not mean we evolved from monkeys. it is not proof, nor is it even solid evidence.

can we not turn every thread into a "debate" on evolution?

if we absolutely must, can we stop talking about evolving "from" living species and actually use the rules of the game as it stands in 2010 (not to mention the fact that it was never any different, even according to Darwin)?
