would most of you say two people need to be dating before they move in together?

at least a year. moving is a pain in the ass. trust me, you'll learn more about the person when you live with them and then its another story.

i think it depends on the couple. my fiance moved in to my house 2 weeks after we started dating and its been about 2 years now... but remember that you dont see most of the other persons flaws until you actually spend 24 hours a day with them.

I don't see a problem with moving in together relatively early (as long as you won't be absolutely screwed if you need to move out). As mentioned, you really find out whether or not the two of you will work as a couple once you are spending 24 hours a day with them and get to see the other person's living habits. If the relationship ultimately isn't going to work out, might as well find out early.

also do not get a new place....either have her move in or you move in with her...that way if it does not work out it is much easier doing the the whole split

i don't think you can set a time limit to these things. my boyfriend and i moved in after about a month of dating and it's been great. we chose an apartment that he could afford on his own, should it not work out.
