Aroma moderate amounts of perfume and pine and faint sweet smell of malt. the beer pours just shy of clear and dark golden yellow.
TasteSmooth up front with restrained bitterness, a solid malt back bone with a touch of caramel. The middle of the beer is kind of lacking but the finish comes on strong and is dry and loaded with good hop taste that coats the mouth. The 7 percent alcohol packed into this is hiding very well in this beer and it goes down quick.
Overall Impression this was a decent IPA it had good malt presence and pleasant hop aroma and taste.however IMO it was for me a touch calm for an IPA of today's standards not really that there is anything wrong with this but i was expecting more of a hit from the hops and some more bitterness. but all in all its a smooth drinker with good malt and hop presence hiding a hefty amount of alcohol so in the end its a damn well made beer.
