So Marquardt earned KO of the night. That's fair but Todd Duffee should have gotten something for earning the UFC's fast KO in the history of the company.

Jake Rosholt got Submission Of The Knight and Couture/Nogueira earned Fight Of The Night honors.

All bonuses were for $60,000.

i have to admit, i was super bummed with the result of marquardt/maia. i was rooting for maia, but picking nate to win, but i really wanted to see an actual fight, as opposed to a 1 punch KO, 20 seconds into the fight. maia and marquardt on the ground would've been really fun to watch.

I was definitely not expecting Rosholt to choke out Leben. I picked that fight Leben by utter domination. Also, Vera didn't impress me in that fight. Pretty lackluster UD. Nog/Couture was a war. Great fight. Thiago is a very scary dude.

i dont know what vera's problem is. he fights gunshy since the timmy fight, even though he has never been knocked out. he has all the individual skills... good muay thai, good greco, good bjj, he just cant seem to put them together.

also, jardine is probably done. dude is wack... he lucked out a few times with some awkward wins, but dude's technique is fuckin' ugly and his chin is glass. im still not totally sold on thiago.. he also has a glass jaw (he gets dropped in almost every fight). i think lil' nog's first fight in the UFC should be against thiago.

i'm so psyched on big nog's win. that was definitely awesome. you hardly ever see sweeps from the guard like that at such a high level but but then again randy's posture kind of sucked because he was so intent on striking while in nog's guard and he set himself up for it.

i'm bummed about maia though. sometimes being confident in your newly found skills can set you up for failure. maybe he'll get some revenge at ADCC this year seeing as how he and nate are going to be in the same weight class.

also gonzaga punted tuchscherer in the balls so hard he puked between rounds. painful fight to watch and should've been called a NC.

yeah, his corner should have stepped in and done something. totally awful kick.

also, im sure maia had every intention of going to the ground, i dont think he is stupid. he probably felt like he needed to set up his takedowns with striking, unfortunately for him, nate is too good of a striker to throw lazy kicks at. that loss doesnt make me think any less of him... everyone has been blasted at one point or another.

also, you're right, to sweep a wrestler like randy is pretty damn impressive. nog owned every aspect of that fight.

It never made it to the 2nd round. And i know he looked like he was going to puke but i don't think he did. Had he the fight would have been called right there.

And it would have been given a NC had he decided to not continue. That's his fault if it hurt that bad. I mean i don't know that i would give up either though in my UFC debut.
