What are some of your favorite songs/bands that you listen to during your workout?

almost anything by face to face.

occasionally some blind guardian or one or two other power metal bands, but mostly just face to face.

and that "favorite son" song by green day.

Napalm Death, Slayer, Pantera, Lamb Of God, Behemoth, and Cannibal Corpse get alot of playing time when i'm lifting.

When i start cardio i put my iPod on shuffle so its pretty much up in the air what i get then. I did eliminate hiphop from my iPod for workout sessions. Although i like it, i can't work out to it. I can't workout to pop-punk either and NFG is one of my favorite bands.

I can't do shuffle since my ipod is all over the place. I normally create a few playlists every couple of weeks.

Lifting: a life once lost, the explosion, kid dynamite, converge, mastodon, torche, floor, dillenger escape plan, dropkick murphys, small brown bike. dimmu borgir

Cardio: same as lifting but also include more electro or neo-house stuff like digitalism, lcd soundsystem, cut copy, simian mobile disco, justice

Cardio: Comeback Kid, Miles Away or any other fast hardcore. Slow music doesn't do it for me.

Weights: Pretty much the opposite of cardio. Slow, heavier shit. I have had the new Bury Your Dead play through a couple times . I can only get through it when lifting though.

I finally decided to take advantage of the Playlist feature on my iPod. I have 5 different mixes for the gym. I set my iTunes on Shuffle and just drug 20-25 songs into each playlist.

believe it or not, jesu - farewell is fucking great for long cardio.

during weights i pick the angriest shit i can find. vader, unleashed, american nightmare, whatever
during cardio i pick punk rock in the beginning and epic long shit once i'm warmed up. jesu, agalloch, rapture, slower music makes time go faster

i noticed it doesn't kill the battery like letting it shuffle normally does. I guess since the playlist is already programmed and not running through my 1500 songs individually.
