Are you serious? I also took VB back in highschool. I still retained a lot of the info and it wasn't to bad from what I remember.

i had to create a "website" for a guessing game. I went the simple route and started just with a number game. Like the computer had to guess my number and i had to guess its. Quickest one to figure it out would win a point. You could set a limit to how many points a game would be.

I tried to do a memory game similar to Simon but never finished it because i fucked up a huge chunk of the code and by the time the semester ended it was too late. I got a C on what i had. I had planned on finishing it when i got home but never did.

the transition from vb6 and vb.net isn't that hard. and building websites in .net is like building an old vb6 app.

you can find so many beginner tutorials for .net, i'd say start by making simple desktop apps then work your way towards web apps
