No, I'm asking if they go well. I'm asking how often one party or the other is annoyed.

i think it all depends on how you view smoking.

if the non-smoker isn't bothered by it or smokes other substances then who cares?

i being a non-smoker that absolutely hates smoking can't really get involved with someone that is smoking unless they are in the midst of making a serious attempt at quitting. So if you end up going after someone with my views on cigarettes then it might not work in your favor.

holy shit i answered a JessiSnow thread with a legit answer.

I was talking about marijuana.

yeah i got that when you said the word pot in your first post. anyway...it doesn't cause any problems for us. i don't really drink alot, so when he chills out with a few beers i chill out with some smoke.

my statement still applies.

depends on how strong the anti-pot convictions they have. i doubt you could date someone who is straightedge.

i've only ever dated dudes that don't smoke. they all have learned to prefer me stoned in the long run...something about not running my mouth as much.

I don't think I could date someone that smoked a lot of pot. I kind of think that once you hit a certain age (getting ready for marriage/kids/successful career), you shouldn't really be doing that stuff anymore.

Definitely couldn't, from my perspective or theirs. I couldn't even consider it because beer and wine are two of my greatest passions that I study, respect and enjoy. I'd hate to be with someone with whom I couldn't share that. Well, not hate, I mean it could almost be possible, but that stuff is better shared.

Which is kind of where this thread comes from. I'm not much of a strains/farmer/pothead kind of girl, but I have been doing this for over ten years. I understand it, I have history with it. I like the science involved and the experience. I can imagine dating someone that didn't smoke, but probably not living with them. I'm not sure. I feel like it would get to a point where they were missing out on part of my life and that would make me sad.

I also know people who don't smoke who would never date someone who does, people who would look down on someone who smokes as much as me and people who wouldn't care either way even though they don't.

i wouldn't date anyone that was looking for this anyway. and i am not a boring smoker either. i'm just as active and productive as a non-smoker, so i think that helps.

I wasn't taking a shot at anyone, that's just how I feel about it. I'm sure there are numerous exceptions.

Ha. I talk so much when I drink and smoking puts me right back in normal person zone (or even quieter). This is so true.

Nope. My friends.

And I get more ramble-y and make even more connections nobody else understands when I drink. I feel the need to share them more too. (Even more!) I share the mic more when I smoke though; when I drink you're all invited to the JessiSnow Show!!
