I don't mind being called baby, but I wouldn't say that I use "baby talk" with significant others. That is reserved for cute animals only.

We have a baby in my house and I don't even talk that way to him, or the dog. It sounds so stupid.

I have called someone "baby," but I sound like someone who's been using the language for over 27 years when I do it.

But I don't really "baby talk" to animals, it's just a weird voice.

I don't baby talk to babies, I am usually just trying to find a way to get them away from me/pawn them off on some other sucker.

my sister baby talks to grown ups and myself. she's pretty much the worst person ever.

i thought about making this thread the other day, so yes, i agree. can't stand baby talk.
