Doesn't even have to be married--I've noticed this with so many of my friends who have a s/o... you tell them something in confidence and they tell their girlfriend as if she has any right to know.

Honestly pretty much everything about friends dating/being married sucks.

I love confronting them about it, and them acting like it's nothing... like, "don't tell anyone" has some implied subcontext of "...except whoever you happen to be fucking at the moment."

lame. not married but my boyfriend and i don't gossip to eachother about our own friends.

If it effects me in some way, I will usually talk to my boyfriend about it. Otherwise, I keep things to myself.

it all depends on how much of a secret it is, some things just aren't my place to say.
but even if we did tell one another everything we heard, it wouldn't be told to anyone else.

There are certain people in my life (my sister, boyfriend, 3 of my best friends), that if they ask me not to repeat something to anyone, I won't, not even to any of the other stated parties. However, for everyone else, I just assume that they know if they tell me something, previously stated parties are going to hear about it.
