do you use a smaller amp for practice? or do you just use all you have?

i have a tiny ass amp in my bedroom that i use at real low volume.

i use one of those vox valvetronix 30 watt deals when im playing by myself alot. amp's pretty legit.

When I'm at school I just play my semi-hollow body without an amp but when I'm at home I play through the half stack. I want to get a Fender Blues Jr. for practicing, those things sound amazing.

nothing below 150 watts will suffice

I have a fender practice amp about 100 watts ... I get a real heavy low end out of it......

for real though, i'd get a low wattage head and a 2x12 before i'd get a combo

Only when I'm playing by myself; I don't usually use it when I'm jamming with others.

I've always played with a practice amp at home. When I had my 5150 II half stack in the house you couldn't even put any of the knobs up because it was too loud for writing. I used to just run it with everything on zero, and it actually sounded half decent haha. Eventually I decided that doing that will mess the speakers up so I just stuck with the practice amp.

For late night jamz, I just plug my pedalboard into a modeler going into my computer. I'm considering a pocket pod to replace the Digitech RP100 I currently use.

It'll be trading ass for more ass, but the pod would be a bit better. A lot more options, that's for sure.

typically i wouldn't promote Orange, but they have some small SS amps that would be good for a tiny practice amp

it is a Laney HC50R. a single 12" speaker. I barely ever used it. mostly for recording odd bass tones. It is a guitar amp and sounds pretty decent for solid-state. Its basically brand new yet still about 7 years old. I have pics at work but here is one from the net. mine is just cleaner



I also have a small fold away fender guitar stand which is great for gigging, a hercules bass stand that is perfect, and a intellitouch PT-2 headstock tuner which are for sale. make an offer.

I have a fender fm25 dsp. I think it's like 75 watts? - it has quite a few effects on it. and it's a good amp to have. it's not too big, and it's not wicked small. it's never given me a problem. I would actually recommend this one
