humor me if you will dont take offense all im merely asking is can you be a christian and straight edge considering the belliefs would contradict themselves? i know of a few christian bands, deathstar, looking forward, that claim edge?

straightedge is the belief that you control your life and show you can control it or at least yourself by abstaining from foreign substances entering it and christianity is the belief that God controls your life or at least your salvation. In essence you have control of your life with straightedge and with christianity you give that control to God.

and in reference to ghost its biblical law to abstain from becoming drunk with any substance, and to keep your body clean because it is a temple hence the contradiction. if its biblical law then how it is a choice? and no its not against the law to be intoxicated in the privacy of your own home or smoke cigs. please come up with a rebuttle so i can have more information about why its not a contradiction because i wanna understand more than i already do
